What does BB cream stand for?

BB cream stands for "blemish balm cream". It's a multi-purpose cream, with moisturizing, soothing, unifying properties, and it also offers sun protection.

How does it contribute to your make-up ritual?

On the make-up side, BB cream evens out and covers imperfections evenly and naturally. It restores luminosity to the complexion, while moisturizing and holding make-up in place all day long. It combines the properties of a day cream with the benefits of a foundation. BB cream offers an alternative to foundation, leaving the complexion unified and ideal without looking made-up.

What are UVA and UVB rays?

UV A and B correspond to non-visible light. UVA corresponds to a wavelength of 400 to 315 nm, UVB to a wavelength of 315 to 280 nm. UVA (much more numerous) penetrates deeper into the dermis, and is mainly responsible for pigmentation spots, skin aging and wrinkles. UVB rays (only 2% of the total) penetrate less deeply (to the epidermis) and are responsible for sunburn, brown spots, burns, blisters and the majority of skin cancers.
